ABOUT OUR CAREGIVERS

Our caregivers are highly-trained, skilled professionals who specialize in the care of the elderly, sick and infirm.  They are prompt, courteous and highly-motivated individuals who are didicated to serving the needs of our patients.  We employ on the best in-home care professionals who are thoroughly pre-screened, including DMV clearances, employment histories, criminal background checks and Life-Scan finger printing. They speak English clearly, drive, and have a minimum of CPR and First Aide training. The Certified Nurse Assistants and Home Health Aides go through 6-9 months of additional schooling, 12 weeks of clinical training and take a state certification exam before becoming certified.

With Helping Hands Caregivers, you get caregivers who are experienced in colostomy care, catheter care, gastric tube feedings, hospice care, etc. Before employment begins, all of our caregivers go through an extensive background check, which includes social security record, driving record, criminal background clearance, work history, and Live Scan fingerprint check. Our caregivers are caring, compassionate professionals who take great pride in what they do. A list of patient and professional references is available upon request.

Your satisfaction is top priority at Helping Hands Caregivers. If, for any reason, you are not thrilled with the caregiver we have selected for you, please contact our office and a replacement caregiver will be provided on the next scheduled visit.

Our services range from assisting our patients with activities of daily living such as ambulation, showering, and toileting assistance to providing meals, medication reminders, laundry, light housekeeping services and transportation to/from appointments. We also offer more advanced home health services for those clients who may have a medical condition that requires skilled supervision.

We do not charge overtime after eight hours, nor do we charge extra for nights or weekends. The only time you would incur any extra charges other than the quoted hourly or daily rate would be if the caregiver worked on one of the seven major holidays, at which time we would bill at time and a half the normal hourly rate, as required by law.

Those holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Transporting patients in the caregiver’s vehicle will also result in a mileage charge. The rate is determined by the state of CA. One hundred percent of the mileage charge is paid to the caregiver.

Thank you for considering Helping Hands Caregivers to assist you with your care-giving needs.
